If you believe….	Kids do well if they wanna...	Kids do well if they can...
Then you believe….	This student won’t do this	This student can’t do this
Then you will try to...	Motivate them to want to	Discover what the barrier is
by...	Rewards and/or punishment	Looking for lagging skills and teaching them for unmet needs and meeting them
If he/she wanted to do well all along...	You have made it worse	You have helped them move forward
If the child still isn’t doing well...	You need bigger awards and worse punishments	You dig deeper to find out what is in the way
